Charlotte Claire Andreatta, age 87, passed in Fernley, Nevada on Friday, December 2, 2012, with family and friends at her side.

She was born December 12, 1923 in Fairfield and raised in Daly City, California until The Depression, when her father found work in Siskiyou County and moved his family there.

Charlotte graduated high school in Dorris, California in 1941. She lived most of her adult life in Weed, California.

She managed the Weed Elementary School cafeteria for most of her 26 years there and also worked as a waitress, primarily at the Hi-Lo, Piemont and Weed Hotel restaurants. She enjoyed working with people, especially “the kids” in the school cafeteria.

Charlotte was a committed Christian and greatly valued her friends and family. She was active in various community activities in Weed from the 1940s to 1980s, including Presbyterian Church, VFW Auxiliary, bowling, Girl Scouts and many others.

She enjoyed spending time with friends and family playing cards and board games or just visiting. She was mom, gramma, aunt and friend.

Charlotte is survived by daughters, Pam (Mills) Rowden and husband Gary of Canby, Oregon and Loretta (Dawson) Bradley and husband Harry of Fernley, Nevada; grandchildren, Marsa McCusker, Christopher Welch, Noel Welch and Danielle Molisee; three great-grandsons; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her parents, Arthur and Doris Pangburn; siblings, Jean Kirby, Arleen Durbin and Russell Pangburn.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 20 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Weed. Her grandchildren will host a reception at the church following the service.
