A new incident base for working the north end of the Bagley Fire has been established in Squaw Valley, just outside the town of McCloud.

A veritable small community within a community sprung up overnight in Squaw Valley, just off Lower Squaw Valley Creek Road.
Virtually self-sufficient and with many amenities of a modern community, the Incident Base for the Bagley Complex Fire has been established there to better aggressively fight the fire on the north end, just south of Lake McCloud.
Mopping up conditions continue on the south end of the fire.
Command trailers, called Overheads, 18 portable shower units, a rolling medical facility, sleeping trailers, generators, water and supply trailers are all in position and being utilized.
Across the road CAL FIRE has set up a camp, along with CDC inmate crews. Firefighter tents are set up in a large meadow. Fire crews from all over the southwest and as far away as New Mexico are on the lines battling the fire.
Another informational meeting regarding the Bagley Complex Fire is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. at the McCloud Elementary School.
