Friday, August 31
4:30 p.m. -- Classic cars line up at the Little League Park on Everitt Memorial for the Mount Shasta Police Department annual
Friday Night Cruise.
5:30 – 7 p.m. -- Barbecue at Shastice Park, provided by Keith Cool of Mount Shasta Supermarket. Menu includes tri-tip, chicken, beans, salad, bread, soda/water and dessert for $10 for adults and $7 for children under 12.
Saturday, September 1
8 a.m. -- Registration begins for the 24th annual MSPD Show and Shine. Call 926-7540 for more information or to register.
9 a.m. –3 p.m. -- Fifties Rock and Roll entertainment, open-air marketplace on Castle Street and downtown sidewalk sales. Show and Shine. Open to the public. Awards begin around 2:30 p.m.
Sunday, September 2
8:30 a.m. -- The Dunsmuir Rotary Club's Tin Man Triathlon at the Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort in Mount Shasta. Swim-run-bike event. Call 235-5735 for more information.
Noon – 6 p.m. -- Blackberry Music Festival at the Mount Shasta City Park, sponsored by the Mount Shasta Rotary Club and Scott Valley Bank. Enjoy games for kids, barbecue, blackberry pie, beverages. Free admission Live entertainment onstage.
Noon -- The Springhouse (blend of folk ballads, Americana and original acoustic tunes
2 p.m. -- No Boys Aloud (an all female rock group featuring multi-instrumentalists who also perform tight vocal harmonies reminiscent of the Dixie Chicks and Heart)
2:45 -- Groove Perpetrators (a local, high energy rock
ensemble)
4 p.m. -- Blue Relish (rock, reggae, swing and country featuring Anna Repetto, Jim Giguere, Rick Helm and Bill Repetto)
