Jack Ray Huffman, a longtime Siskiyou County resident, passed away on September 15, 2012 in Mount Shasta, California. He was 69 years old.

Jack was born on May 5, 1943 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to James and Marie Huffman.

He grew up in Siskiyou County and in 1963 he met Joyce Moore. The couple dated for a year, and were married in 1964.

Jack was a truck driver for many years, driving log and chip trucks, along with long hauls. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter; and loved gardening. The family had many chickens and Jack had a favorite rooster “Horn Blower” that he loved to listen to crow.

Jack is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joyce Huffman; his mother, Marie Huffman of Weed; three children: Rayne Huffman, Wesley Huffman, and Jack Huffman and his wife Charlene, all of Montague; two sisters, Shirley Schneider of Mount Shasta and Paula Tucker of Weed; three grandchildren: Leslie, Seth and Dean Edward Huffman; and one great-grandson, Alec.
