Bobbie Aileen Richardson, a resident of Siskiyou County, passed away on January 25, 2013 in Yreka, California.

Bobbie was born on December 26, 1925 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from Mount Shasta High School.

Bobbie was married to her high school sweetheart, Ken, for 67 years. They continued to make their home in Siskiyou County until their deaths.

Bobbie worked as a checkout girl at Peoples’ Market and the Safeway grocery store in Mount Shasta.

She was well known in the area for her paintings and photography, many of which were of our beautiful mountain area that she loved. She enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens and with her cats and dogs.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; and her brother, Lee.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Van Dyke; son, Ken (and Cyndi) Richardson; sister, Norene Evans; grandchildren, Tracie Oreck, Stephanie Richardson, Scott Van Dyke, Ryan Van Dyke, Charlin Wright, Randi Kay Viegas; and nine great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held this week. A celebration of her life will be held later this year.
