Robert "Bob" Stover passed away peacefully on

December 28, 2012. He was born March 28, 1927

to Neda and Ernest Stover in McNary, AZ. The

family moved to Mt. Shasta, CA where he

attended school. In 1945 he joined the Navy where

he served in WWII. Upon his return to Northern

CA, where he resided for 75 years, he worked for

Southern Pacific Railroad and was a Volunteer

Fire Fighter for the Dunsmuir Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife Virginia "Nadine" Stover, two daughters

Debbie Stover of Redding and Dana Francis of Chico and two

granddaughters Kristen and Lauren Francis of Chico. Also surviving

are his sister Barbara "June" DeMello (Joe), brothers Charles Stover

(Elaine), Michael Stover (Val) and many nieces and nephews.

The family has request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions

may be made in memory of Robert Stover to: Northern California

A Military Honors Service was held Friday, January 25, at the

Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo. Saturday, January 26, a

Celebration of Life was held at the Oakmont Retirement Community

in Chico.
