Ruth Mildred Baumgartner, a resident of Weed, California, passed away on February 24, 2013 at the age of 95.
Ruth was born in Berkeley, California on June 2, 1917 to James and Valentine Moffat.
Ruth married Ralph Kroll and they had four children. Ralph passed away in 1969. Later, Ruth married John Baumgartner, who had two children.
Ruth loved her family with all her heart and was a great mother. She had a sunny, outgoing personality; and enjoyed crafting, sewing, knitting and gardening – she grew beautiful flowers.
Ruth was a past member of the Presbyterian Church of Pleasanton.
Ruth is survived by her son, Robert Kroll of Rio Vista, California; daughter, Joan Bernardin of Pebble Beach, California; daughter, Sue Finke of Tracy, California; daughter, Kathy Besk of Weed, California; stepdaughter, Marsha Baumgartner; stepdaughter, Sue Seubert; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Ruth was predeceased by her first husband, Ralph Kroll; and her second husband, John Baumgartner, who passed away in 2005.
A Celebration of Life and Going Home Party will be held Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at the Mount Shasta City Park in the Senior Center, with Pastor Stefen Lind officiating. A reception will follow.
Ruth was buried beside her first husband, Ralph Kroll, at Chapel of the Hills Memorial Park in Hayward, California.
