Vera Mae Daw passed quietly in her home on July 18, 2013 where she recently moved to in Porter, Texas last November.
She was born in a Gold Mining camp in Whitney, Oregon on April 19, 1930 but spent most of her life living in Dunsmuir and Mt. Shasta, California. While she did have a chance to travel some, she loved the people of Northern California and living at the base of Mt. Shasta better than anywhere else.
She leaves behind two sons, Jim Bushnell of Grants Pass, Oregon and Charles Bushnell of Albany, Georgia along with nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was loved by most who met her and at one time called mom by the Dunsmuir Police Dept.
She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Services will be privately held in July 2014 at Antioch Cemetery in Jackson County, Oregon.
