It’s Homecoming week at Dunsmuir High School, and Wednesday’s schedule features cowboy dress-up day, a no-host barbecue, the class olympics and a powderpuff football game scheduled for 6 p.m.

Friday’s Orange and Black day features a downtown parade at 1:30 p.m., the King and Queen crowning ceremony at 5:10 p.m., then the Tigers’ football game against Butte Valley starting at 6 p.m.

Tuesday is Crazy Hat Day; Thursday is Sports Day.

Friday’s Homecoming Parade will wind through town: down Oak Street, left onto Dunsmuir Avenue, to the elementary school and then the football field. Parade entries include: Dunsmuir Sheriffs, the football team, fire trucks, cheerleaders, Mount Shasta Ambulance, the JV volleyball team, team coaches, and Dunsmuir royalty.

The parade will last approximately 30 minutes.

This year’s Homecoming royal court features 11 seniors, 5 princesses and 6 princes: Alex Hagge and Randy Hix, Tayler Shuler and Brian Taylor, Fawn Gooch and Dayton Pepperdine, Chelsea Helms and CJ Palmer, Lilah Saverimuttu and Luis Rodriguez and Trent Johnson.
