Art, music, magic and a fall day in Dunsmuir's downtown historic district scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19 from 1 to 6 p.m.
Four event highlights:
1, What is it? More than 30 artists from the state of Jefferson, along with the Liberty Scroll, a quilt show, the photographic contest of the Dunsmuir Botanical Society, and a retrospective of Dunsmuir artist MaryAnn Kikerpill, magician Landon Stark and live music in locations throughout historic downtown Dunsmuir this Saturday, Oct. 19 from 1 to 6 p.m.
2, All ArtWalk events are free of charge -- Artists from Redding to Yreka and McCloud to Etna and Happy Camp will host receptions with refreshments in local businesses and in historic buildings. Several local studios will also be open for viewing.
3, Liberty Arts will be presenting the Liberty Scroll, a 54 inch by 80 foot canvas that was the idea of artist Finley Fryer. It is a collaboration of 19 Siskiyou County artists that took more than a year to complete.
4, Vote for a People's Choice award: Open since March, Siskiyou Arts Museum will display photos and winners from the fourth annual Dunsmuir Botanical Gardens photo contest. The photos capture the beauty and life of the Botanical Gardens located in the Dunsmuir City Park.
