Three 16 year old boys have been arrested in connection with vandalism and arson at Mount Shasta High School.
Mount Shasta Police Department has made two additional arrests in the vandalism and arson case at Mount Shasta High School.
Authorities at first believed the incident occurred on the night of Feb. 14, but they now believe it more likely the damage occurred late on Feb. 15 or early in the morning Feb. 16.
All three suspects arrested are 16 year old male juveniles, according to a press release from the department. Two of the suspects are from Mount Shasta and one is from Dunsmuir.
None of the suspects, who have been booked into Siskiyou County Juvenile Hall on felony vandalism, burglary and arson charges, are current students of the school, according to MSPD.
Alcohol and drugs were found to be a contributing factor, according to the release.
"The Mount Shasta Police Department would like to extend its thanks and appreciation to the numerous concerned citizens that provided tips and information in this case, leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects," the release states.
