Frank Javier Garcia, a resident of Mount Shasta, California, passed way on March 2, 2014 at his home. He was 44 years old.

Frank was born in Mount Shasta on March 30, 1969. He was a veteran of the US Navy.

Frank worked as an electronics technician for Alpine Business. He also went back to school to earn a degree in Psychology.

Frank was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church; and Cedar Lanes Bowling League. He enjoyed bowling, computers, working in his yard, and his children.

Survivors include his sons: Billy Garcia and Jonathan Garcia, both of Mount Shasta; brothers: Thomas Garcia of Portland, Oregon, Edardo Garcia of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Jaime Garcia of Chico; a sister, Angelica Cook of Colfax; and his parents, Alvin and Maria Garcia of Mount Shasta.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday, March 7 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Mount Shasta, with Reverend Michael Canny officiating.

Burial is at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo.

Arrangements are in the care of Mt. Shasta Memorial Chapel.
