Charlie Fenimore, an enthusiastic and dedicated assistant for several College of the Siskiyous sports teams, was recognized by men’s basketball coach Kyle Heath during Sophomore Night presentations Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at Screamin’ Eagle Gymnasium in Weed.

Enjoying the moment with Charlie were sophomores Ephraim Church, Michael Benton-Ferguson and Jonathan Lane, family members and friends.

The Eagles gave Charlie and their fans another reason to celebrate in the game that followed, holding off Feather River for an 84-82 victory, their first conference win of the season.

Coach Heath praised Charlie for his role in the community, saying he comes to every practice and "helps everyone," and exchanges secret handshakes with the players.

Charlie was presented with a plaque that included a team photo and a picture of him smiling while holding a water bottle.
