David Victor Sprunger, of Medford, Oregon, formerly of Weed, California, passed away on February 11, 2015 at Rogue Regency Medical Center in Medford after a short battle with cancer.
He was born on October 2, 1964 in Omaha, Nebraska to Gerald and Ruth Sprunger. The family moved to Weed in 1970.
David attended Weed Elementary and Weed High School, beginning in kindergarten and graduating in 1983. He attended College of the Siskiyous and Cal State Northridge, where he pursued music education.
On August 20, 1988, he married Jennifer Klingler, daughter of Ron and Penny Klingler, also of Weed.
David was the owner/operator of Music Unlimited Inc.; a worship leader in various churches in Medford and Ashland; and a published songwriter. He was a passionate singer, composer, pianist/keyboardist and bicyclist.
Surviving are his wife, Jennifer Sprunger; son, Zachary Sprunger; son, Jordan (and Kelly) Sprunger; daughter, Amy (and Ben) Joffer; and son, Nathan Sprunger, all of the Medford area; brother, Paul Sprunger of Dundee Oregon; sister, Debbie Wetzig of Grenada, California; and sister, Mary Beth DeRoss of Weed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pastor Gerald and Ruth Sprunger of Weed; and a brother, Mike Sprunger of Papillion, Nebraska.
There will be a celebration memorial service at Mountain Church, 1 E. Main Street in Medford, Oregon on Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m., with Pastor Jim Wright officiating.
