Raymond Charles Williamson, a longtime resident of Mount Shasta, California, passed away suddenly at home on February 23, 2015. He was 73 years old.

Raymond was born in Oakland, California on February 18, 1942. He served in the United States Army, excelling as a marksman.

Raymond moved to Siskiyou County in 1969, and started his company, Aquarius Well Drilling, Inc., which he ran for 43 years.

Raymond had a keen sense of humor, and always enjoyed making people laugh.

Besides being a longstanding businessman, Raymond was a member of the Mount Shasta Elks Lodge No. 2333 and the National Rifle Association.

He enjoyed fishing, shooting, camping, and time with his family, especially his three grandkids. Raymond was a very loving, generous man.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 34 years and greatest friend of 38 years, Sharon Williamson of Mount Shasta; daughter, Michele McLean of Elko, Nevada; daughter, Cynara Carnes of Shingletown, California; brother, John Williamson, Jr., of Mount Shasta; brother, Mark Williamson of San Diego, California; brother, Bruce Williamson of Washington; sister, Cynara Mursu of Lincoln, California; sister, Esther Amaral of Yreka, California; sister, Kay Carmichael of Oregon; and three granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 28 at 2 p.m. at the Mount Shasta Elks Lodge, 326 N. Mt. Shasta Blvd.

A military interment service with honors will be held Monday, March 23 at 11 a.m. at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery, 11800 Gas Point Road in Igo, California.
