Joe Herman Daugherty, a resident of Weed, California, passed away on April 9, 2015 at Shasta View Nursing Center in Weed. He was 90 years old.

Joe was born in San Angelo, Texas on March 19, 1925. He moved to Siskiyou County one year ago.

Joe worked as a heavy equipment operator. He loved family gatherings, fishing, hunting, carpentry, and vegetable gardening.

Survivors include his son, Kenny Joe Daugherty of Glenoma, Washington; daughters: Roberta (and Terry) Bennett of Mossyrock, Washington, Kathleen (and Dave) Tyler of Yreka, California, Betty (and Keith) Moynahan of Shelton, Washington, and Katelyn Daugherty of Ellensburg, Washington; brothers, Ray Daugherty of Oroville, California and Dwayne Daugherty of Oregon; sisters, Christine Howarth of Davis, California and Rita Vancleave of Bremond, Texas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Burford Daugherty and Ollie Roberta Caeeoll; brothers: Paul, Carroll, Alfred, Michael and Danny Daugherty; and sisters, Oneta Cummings and Joyce Loughtin.

Private services will be held.
