Everett (Sonny) Johnson of Mount Shasta passed away peacefully May 6, 2015. Sonny was born June 6, 1938 in Trimountain, Michigan to Everett and Clara Maria Johnson, and was the oldest of two sons.

Sonny was a member of the National Guard and in his early years enjoyed scuba diving and sky diving. He met his wife Linda and they were married on August 5, 1978 in Carson City, Nevada. They worked and lived together in the San Francisco Bay Area raising four children, Kathleen, Matt, Kirk and Danille.

Sonny worked as an automotive machinist for over 30 years. When he retired in June of 2000 he and Linda went to live in their dream home in Mount Shasta, California. There he was able to finally do the thing he loved most, wood working. He also fished, was an active member of the Italian Club, Elks Club, Elks "Annex", was an avid airplane enthusiast, and loved to travel. He also found a hobby in black powder guns, and enjoyed going to the shooting range. He made many wonderful friends in the fifteen years he lived in Mount Shasta, and he considered Mount Shasta his true home.

He is survived by his wife Linda Johnson, his brother Michael (Barbara) Johnson, his daughters Kathleen (Lance) Agulay, Danille (Michael) Gallagher, sons Matthew (Michelle) Johnson, Kirk (Suzanne) Johnson, eight grandchildren; Sonni Johnson, Max Johnson, Trevor Agulay, Hailey Agulay, Taylor Alton, Everett Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, and Andrew Johnson.

In lieu of flowers it is Sonny's wish that donations be made to St. Judes Medical Center.

There will be a memorial at a day and time to be announced at a later date.
