Mount Shasta is scheduled to host a first round Division 4 playoff game Friday, May 15, at 4 p.m., while the Weed Cougars are scheduled to open the Division 5 postseason at Etna.

Mount Shasta, seeded No. 3 in Division 4, is scheduled to host No. 6 Pierce at 4 p.m.
The Bears (16-7 overall) tied for second in the Shasta Cascade League behind Etna and secured a first round home game by sweeping Trinity in the final league doubleheader of the season in Weaverville.

Pierce (13-14 overall) went 5-3 in the Sacramento Valley South League and tied for second behind Winters, the No. 1 seed in Division 4.
Weed (8-15) is the No. 7 seed in Division 5 and is scheduled to open the playoffs at No. 2 Etna (23-6) Friday at 4 p.m.

Etna went 11-1 in league and Weed was 3-9, but the Cougars were the only team to beat the Lions in SCL play and Weed also beat Etna in a pre-league tournament game.
Second round games are scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, at the home of the higher seed. Championship games are scheduled for Saturday, May 23, at either Shasta or Butte College.
Winters won the Sacramento Valley League with an 8-0 record and is 20-8-1 overall. In other first round Division 4 games, Winters is scheduled to play No. 8 Willows (4-20), No. 2 Durham (13-7) hosts No. 7 University Prep (10-18), and No 5 East Nicolaus (11-10) plays at No. 4 Colusa (18-9-2).
In other Division 5 first round games, No. 1 seed Esparto (16-3) opens the playoffs against No. 8 Portola (8-17), No. 3 Fall River (15-8) hosts No. 6 Quincy (13-9), and No. 5 Modoc (13-10) plays at No. 4 Hamilton (15-8).
