The Siskiyou County Probation Department is advising all victims of the Boles Fire in Weed that they have a right to be present during the sentencing of Ronald Beau Marshall, and they have the right to provide a statement to the court.

Marshall is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday, July 28, at 8:30 a.m. in the Siskiyou County Courthouse at 311 Fourth Street in Yreka.

On June 30, 2015, Marshall pled guilty to recklessly causing a fire to structure and forestland and an enhancement for causing multiple inhabited structures to burn. By doing so, he took responsibility for the Boles Fire that tore through Weed on Sept. 15, 2014.

Any victims with restitution requests or victim impact statements are asked to contact the Siskiyou County Probation Department at 841-4155.

The Probation Department states in a press release that it was unable to send out letters to those affected by the Boles Fire because of the relocation of numerous victims and the unavailability of addresses.
