The Military Fire on Military Pass Road on the Shasta McCloud Management Unit of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest was declared 100 percent contained at 58 acres as of Monday at 12 a.m. According to information on inciweb site, the fire was “a multiple start event” that began Saturday; its cause is under investigation. It burned in a heavy timber area along the border between the Klamath National Forest and the Shasta-Trinity NF. As of Tuesday morning, firefighters were continuing mop-up and monitoring.
