Clea Richards passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, California, surrounded by the love of her family, on October 28, 2015. She lived a life filled with the care and healing of others, and loving and beautiful friendships.

Clea was an herbalist and iridologist, and she was a vibrant member of the healing arts community in Siskiyou County through her participation in Healing Arts Fairs, her iridology readings, her herbal and nutritional counseling, and her herbal tonics, Mt. Shasta Botanicals.

In her youth, she enjoyed traveling, and she lived in France and Mexico. She was fun-loving, and added a wise and sensitive presence to the many groups she participated in. In 2000, she experienced a rare and aggressive form of Lupus that caused total kidney failure, and she was told she had two weeks to live. She defied modern medicine by living another 15 years through her practice of Anthroposophical Medicine, the use of her herbal tonics and nutrition, and an avid practice of Tai Chi and Yoga.

Clea will be deeply missed, but she lives on in the hearts and memories of her friends and family. If you would like to participate in her Celebration of Life Ceremony to be held at a later date, please send your contact information to:
