Shirley Ann Kendall was born on July 5, 1925 in Jackson, Michigan to Jack and Francis Reeve. She passed away at her home in Sparks, Nevada on November 30, 2015.
Shirley grew up in Jackson and graduated from local schools. After high school, she met Keith Kendall, a dashing young soldier, at a dance. They were married soon after.
When Keith returned from Europe at the end of World War II, he and Shirley moved to Washington State. About 1950, Shirley and Keith and their two children, Mike and Judy, moved to Redlands, California.
After moving a few times between southern California and Mount Shasta, Shirley and Keith settled in Mount Shasta in 1976.
While living in Mount Shasta, Shirley worked with the American Cancer Society and helped form the Mt. Shasta Hospice. She was also very involved in the Mount Shasta Elks Lodge.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Francis; her brother, Ted; and the love of her life, Keith Kendall.
She is survived and will be greatly missed by her sisters, Nancy and Jackie; her two children, Mike and Judy; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
There will be a family gathering in the spring to celebrate Shirley’s life.
