A longtime Dunsmuir resident, Elf enjoyed playing Bingo at the Eagles in Dunsmuir and at St. Anthony's parish in Mount Shasta. She liked decorative painting and traveling, specifically by car. She and husband Cliff enjoyed competition archery on the West Coast, and competed in the Nationals in Washington State.

Longtime Dunsmuir, California resident Esther Lee “Elf” Fitting passed away on September 16, 2016 at Madrone Hospice in Yreka, California. She was 69 years old.

Elf was born on October 24, 1946 in Brisbane, California. She was an eligibility worker for the county.

In 1993 Esther married Cliff Fitting in Fremont. Elf enjoyed playing Bingo at the Eagles in Dunsmuir and at St. Anthony’s parish in Mount Shasta.

She liked decorative painting and traveling, specifically by car. She and Cliff enjoyed competition archery on the West Coast, and competed in the Nationals in Washington State.

Elf is survived by her husband, Cliff of Dunsmuir; two children, Bill Heinzle and Dustin Cammeron; and three grandchildren: Kennan Chelivi, Aydin McPerson and Michayla Heinzle.

Elf was preceded in death by a daughter, Heidi.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 22 at 11 a.m. at the Dunsmuir Cemetery in Dunsmuir.
