Margie graduated from Weed schools, worked in south county courts as a Court Clerk and Court Administrator for 20 years. She loved to RV and cook, and enjoyed water skiing, fishing and boating. She had a soft spot in her heart for her dogs and the stray cats she adopted.

Margie Sylva, a longtime resident of Weed and Mount Shasta, California, passed away on September 16, 2016 at a Medford, Oregon hospital.

Margie was born in Weed, California to Margret and Bill Glenn on August 8, 1950. She graduated from Weed schools, including College of the Siskiyous, and from Fresno State College, Magna Cum Laude.

She worked in south county courts as a Court Clerk and Court Administrator for 20 years.

Margie loved to RV and cook, and enjoyed water skiing, fishing and boating. She had a soft spot in her heart for her dogs and the stray cats she adopted.

Margie is survived by her husband of 38 years, Larry; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Judy and Jim Finses of Montague, California; her nephew, Mark Finses of Ketchikan, Alaska; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margret and Bill Glenn; and her brother, Bill Glenn, Jr.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park in Mount Shasta.

Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Mt. Shasta Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
