Leonard was a postal worker for the US Postal Service. He enjoyed fishing and was a football fan. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of Weed, and the Knights of Columbus.

Leonard Dixon Jr., a resident of Weed, California, passed away on September 24, 2016 at his home. He was 84 years old.

Leonard was born in Houston, Texas on March 22, 1932. He moved to Siskiyou County from San Francisco in 1987.

Leonard was a postal worker for the US Postal Service. He enjoyed fishing and was a football fan. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of Weed, and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Dixon of Weed; three sons: Marlon Dixon of Danville, California, Dwayne Dixon of Medford, Oregon, and Derrick Dixon of Weed; a daughter, Hazel Tincher of Bakersfield, California; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Mount Shasta, with Reverend Michael Canny officiating. Burial is at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park.
