The Siskiyou County of Emergency Services reported that substantial precipitation is also expected in Mt. Shasta, Dunsmuir and McCloud, the Klamath River corridor, Happy Camp and the Shasta Valley in the coming days. A list of places to get sand bags in case of potential flooding is included.

A High Wind Advisory issued by the National Weather Service for western Siskiyou County and south central Siskiyou County remains in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.

Locations include Mt. Shasta City and the higher terrain in western Siskiyou County.

A High Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 miles per hour are expected with higher gusts possible. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, according to the NWS.
