Daran was born in Loma Linda, California on May 23, 1958 to Robert and Phyllis Austin. He graduated from Yucaipa High School in 1976.
Daran loved the outdoors, shooting, hunting, fishing, hiking and looking for agates on the Oregon coast. He loved photography and genealogy research.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His granddaughters brought him so much joy and happiness. He was a great guy, someone who loved family, who left behind more than he took, a kind and gentle hard working man.
He worked in construction most of his career. He was a craftsman and took great pride in all he did.
He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Cindy; daughter, Tonya and her husband, Jason; son, Jake and daughter, Kimberly; precious granddaughters, Lily, Layla and Lauren. As well as his mother, sisters, nieces and nephews, their families and lots of cousins.
