A Life Well Lived: Phyllis Cova Wood died on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, peacefully at her home in Dunsmuir, California. She was 64 years old.
Phyllis was born on July 16, 1952 in Puunene, Maui Hawaii.
Phyllis was most proud of accomplishing her goal of becoming a Social Worker (LCSW), which she was very passionate of, and retiring from Shasta County Mental Health.
She will be most remembered for the love and care she gave to all who knew her, as well as her beautiful hair, love for pickle ball and the outdoors; and mostly “Her Pure Aloha.”
She is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years, Kenneth Wood; three beloved children: Jennifer Lakmann of Redding, Ben Watkins of Redding, Selene Cooper of Redding; three beloved sisters: Doreen Martinez of Chico, Betty Russel of Dublin, Joyce Hardman of Missouri; nine beloved grandchildren: Nicole Stone, Colton Stone, Justina Lakmann, Dalton Lakmann, Connor Watkins, Colin Watkins, Cason Watkins, Trent Cooper, Wes Cooper; and many more beloved family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 19 at noon at Shasta Lake Bible Fellowship, 19200 Fellowship Way, Redding, CA 96003; Hawaiian theme, BBQ to follow.
