Kenneth James Gann, 77 year old Lake Shastina resident, passed away March 11, 2017 at Madrone Hospice in Yreka.
Ken was born on May 26, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to William and Anna Gann.
He served in the US Army National Guard prior to working in construction as an iron worker for many years in southern California.
He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, socializing, yard sales and any types of crafts.
He was a Cub Scout Master, helped in the Boy Scouts and little league baseball. He loved to make children happy, and always had plenty of time for kids. He was a father figure to many.
Ken is survived by his wife of 51 years, Delores Gann; four sons, Warren (and Suzanne) Gann, Douglas (and Shelly) Gann, Jason (and Shannon) Gann and Troy Gann; a stepdaughter, Amy LaRue; two brothers, Bill (and Roberta) Gann and Charles (and Lucie) Gann; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 26 at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Mount Shasta, with Pastor James Cavener officiating.
