CITY OF MT. SHASTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mt. Shasta City Council will conduct a public hearing at their regularly scheduled meeting of Monday, April 10 2017 at the hour of 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the City Park Main Lodge, 1315 Nixon Road, Mt. Shasta, California.
Presentation of the Emergency Cannabis Use and Activities Ordinance. The City Council of the City of Mt. Shasta will consider an emergency ordinance prohibiting any unpermitted cannabis cultivation, manufacture, distribution, possession, storing, laboratory testing, labeling, transportation, distribution, delivery, or sale. The emergency ordinance will not supersede any current cannabis dispensary permits or personal use as defined by California Health and Safety Code. An emergency ordinance can be approved on the first reading and exists for a maximum of forty-five (45) days.
Should any person challenge the proposals in court, that person may be limited to raising only those issues raised during the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to City Hall prior to the public hearing.
