The Planning Commission of the City of Weed will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in the Chambers at City Hall, 550 Main Street, Weed, CA 96094, to consider the following:

The project is a Vesting Tentative Subdivision Map, dividing two (2) parcels described as 060-351-360 and 060- 351-370 into seven (7) parcels.

The site is the former location of the Great Northern Services at 780 South Davis Ave Weed, California. The property is owned by Great Northern Services. The site was historically the location of Weed Community Center and offices of Great Northern Services. The site and structures were destroyed in the 2014 Boles Fire.

The property is designated Multi-Family Residential in the Land Use Element of the City’s General Plan and is zoned R-4, Multi Family Residential in the City of Weed Zoning Ordinance. The proposed project is to divide the two existing combined properties totaling 1.46 acres into seven (7) parcels ranging from 6,150 square feet to 9,500 square feet. A 4,400 square foot portion of the property fronting South Davis Avenue is offered for dedication to the City.

Initial environmental review of the above project finds the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15332 of the CEQA Guidelines. Class 32 exemptions are for In-fill Projects.

All interested persons are invited to attend and have the right to be heard on this and any other agenda item.

The application, staff report, and supporting documentation are on file at City Hall, and can be viewed on weekdays during business hours after January 12, 2018.
