NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mt. Shasta Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at their regularly scheduled meeting of Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the hour of 6PM in the Upper Lodge of the City Park, 1315 Nixon Rd, Mt. Shasta, CA 96067.

Home Occupation Permit Revocation Public Hearing. The City of Mt. Shasta has received a number of nuisance complaints for the Home Occupation Permit at 518 McCloud Ave. The receipt of numerous complaints has caused the City to hold a public hearing for possible revocation of the home occupation permit. The home occupation is for Don’s Do it All Services which performs wood cutting services. The Home Occupation Permit allows residents to host their business in their home as long as the use does not negatively impact the surrounding neighborhood.

Initial environmental review of the project has determined the project is Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to general rule exemption Section 15061(b)3. The activity is covered by the general rule because there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment.

Should any person challenge the proposals in court, that person may be limited to raising only those issues raised during the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to City Hall prior to the public hearing. For further information, or to deliver written comment, contact the City Clerk, 305 N. Mt. Shasta Blvd., Mt. Shasta, CA 96067, or telephone (530) 926-7510 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
