NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mt. Shasta Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at their regularly scheduled meeting of Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the hour of 6PM in the Upper Lodge of the City Park, 1315 Nixon Rd, Mt. Shasta, CA 96067.

Variance Application to designate new front of residential lot. An application for a variance in the Mt. Shasta Municipal Code has been filed to change the front of the lot for Lot 28 on the corner of Bear Springs and Village Way. The definition of a lot in the City is “means the narrowest property line adjacent to a public or private street, regardless of the address, orientation or location of the entrance for the structure”. The Applicant is requesting a variance to change the front designation from Bear Springs to Village Way.

Initial environmental review of the project has determined the project is Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to general rule exemption Section 15061(b)3. The activity is covered by the general rule because there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment.

Should any person challenge the proposals in court, that person may be limited to raising only those issues raised during the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to City Hall prior to the public hearing.
