What a wonderful outpouring of support from our community to Mt. Shasta Sisson Museum. This letter is full of appreciation for the many people who attended the Opening Night Celebration. Your donations, bids on Silent Auction items, and compliments about our museum showed us that you value what we are doing.

The generosity of our community businesses, who are asked so often for donations, is incredible. These business owners donated items for our Silent Auction and food for the appetizers. Our heartfelt gratitude and admiration to these companies.

Also, the many volunteers who assisted with the exhibits, researching, designing, and installing them, sharing this region’s interesting history with all of our visitors. This group includes our Board of Directors, who help out in so many ways – definitely a very active board!

Clearly, it takes a village to keep our museum open and thriving. The all-volunteer organization has been going strong for 40 years, starting with the renovation of the 1905 hatchery building in 1979, then our opening in 1983, and now the continued backing we receive from all of you.
