Kids Day is held in April which is Child Abuse Prevention month. Family-friendly celebrations like Kids Day are an opportunity for children and their families and community members to have fun together, celebrate childhood, and create wonderful memories, all of which help to strengthen children and families and the community.

The community of Weed will celebrate its 6th Annual Kids Day celebration Saturday, April 27. This free event at Bel Air Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is open to all that would like to attend. Children and their families and community members will enjoy fun activities and game, and free food, Service organizations and agencies will have information available for the community and activities for children.There will be bounce houses, face painting, magic and balloon tying, dance performances, animals, crafts, science exploration, free books, and more. Free food will be provided by Casa Ramos, Weed Rotary, and the Weed Church of Christ. The event is coordinated by the Family and Community Resource Center of Weed and the Mt.
