Golden Eagle Charter School will present Shakespeare’s classic “Midsummer Night’s Dream” starting this Friday, May 3 at Mountain Christian Fellowship at 2324 South Mt. Shasta Boulevard.

This is a madcap interpretation, said director Bennett Gale. In fact it could be called: ‘Midsummer meets Mel Brooks!’

The production is the culmination of Golden Eagle’s drama elective and features Amelia Barr, Meredith Bradley, Sophie Hunter, Akasha Kirby, Tealia Nuti, Mimi Pieper, Nathan Roach, Guinevere Robinson, Annalisa Stringi, Elizabeth Summers and Nicolas Willey.

“This classic story of magic and mayhem where faeries, bad actors and confused lovers stumble, transform, arise anew and achieve ultimate glories,” Gale said.

The play will be presented on May 3 at 7 p.m.; May 4 at 2 and 7 p.m.; May 10 at 7 p.m.; May 11 at 2 and 7 p.m.; and May 12 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets are $5 each for families of four or more.
