Sue and Dan Frink delivered newspapers in the Mt. Shasta area for 30-plus years. Most recently, Sue delivered the Mount Shasta Herald for the last eight years, until February of this year. Sue loved her subscribers. She also loved delivering newspapers and found great purpose in route driving for the Mount Shasta Herald.

Sue was a dedicated tax preparer, owning her tax business for 15 years. She adored the conversations and visits each year. She put off retirement until this March, because of her love of community.

Sue also loved doing astrology charts; it was a lifelong hobby. If you got your taxes done, you likely got your chart and read too! We loved hearing the stories of people we’d never met, and how much she marveled at their lives. She loved to offer good advice, and she was great at making people feel special.

Sue loved blank books! All books really, and she read voraciously, creating a massive library.

One of Sue’s greatest accomplishments, besides having her daughters, was successfully self-publishing her first, in a series of three books.Unfortunately, she was unable to finish the series, due to her passing.

Sue often shared with us her nightly dreams of doing her newspaper route. Always double checking to see whom she missed, vacation stops and starts, and new subscribers.

She loved people.

I could write for days about mom, and how amazing she is, and the ways I will remember her. We would love to hear from her community too, about the ways she was a part of your life. It will be something to share with her grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her husband, Dan Frink; her daughters Michelle and Rachel; and their children as well as her brothers, Bob Gill and Jim Gill.

Thank you for being a part of our parents lives, and for the rich sense of community they have enjoyed all these years.
