Up to four scholarships are given out every year if warranted. This year two more scholarships have been granted to students going on to college from Mount Shasta High school. Any graduating student going on to college from Weed, Mount Shasta, Dunsmuir or McCloud can apply if they are practicing Catholics and meet interview standards.

The Knights of Columbus was formed in 1882 to help widows and orphans at the loss of their breadwinner and has evolved worldwide to assist in disasters and those in need in their local communities as well as community betterment programs such as these scholarships.
