Artists and fashion designers from near and far have created a variety of wearable art and sculptural clothing that is surprising, exhilarating, creative and just plain fun, all using materials not customarily seen in fashion.

Liberty Arts will present Runway Outré, on Saturday, Oct. 5, featuring more than 23 ingenious and Avant-Garde ensembles made from unconventional materials. As the fifth Liberty Arts fashion show, this year’s catwalk is sure to be original and dynamic.

Artists and fashion designers from near and far have created a variety of wearable art and sculptural clothing that is surprising, exhilarating, creative and just plain fun, all using materials not customarily seen in fashion. Unusual materials used include paper, cardboard, plastic, maps, rubber, clay, duct tape, magazines, bike tires and more.

Master of Ceremonies will be Nikolas Allen, with his superstar showmanship. DJ Andrea Campbell, also known as DJ Groovilicious, will bring the beats for a lively festival vibe.

The runway show begins at 7 p.m. There will be an after party with refreshments and music until 9 p.m. This event is free to the public, however, there are first and second row reserved seating at $10 and $5. Call Liberty Arts for ticket availability at (530) 842-0222 Tuesday through Saturday.
