The Devil’s Tell is the first offering in this three bottle artist series, with labels printed from original illustrations by local artist Mimi Bailey.

Denny Bar Company, the only craft distillery in Siskiyou County is set to unveil their first whiskey, The Devil’s Tell, this Saturday, Oct. 12. In honor of this occasion, there will be a bottle release party at 511 Main St. in Etna from 1 to 6 p.m.

The Devil's Tell is a limited edition whiskey that truly celebrates the artist; honoring the craft and skill of paint on paper, poetry, and patience as grain and oak marry over time, according to a press release from Denny Bar.

“We hand-selected this smooth 94-proof, 21 percent rye whiskey three years ago – allowing it to mature and age in the Denny Bar Company rickhouse here in our Scott Valley – as we began and continue our journey as craft distillers,” Denny Bar Company owner and distiller Sparrow Tang shared.

The Devil’s Tell is the first offering in this three bottle artist series, with labels printed from original illustrations by local artist Mimi Bailey.

“The series, titled ‘The Crossroads,’ unfolds in the form of a multidimensional story – highlighting the dichotomy between good vs. evil, strategy, and the ongoing contemplation of risk and reward,” the release states.

Saturday’s event will offer 395 limited edition bottles for sale in the tasting room. Bailey will be on hand signing bottles, and there will be live acoustic music by Dalton Dean, a Gypsy jazz guitarist. First edition hoodies and tees will also be available for purchase, as well as whiskey pairing food specials.
