Robert Henry Tessmer Jr. was arrested after the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit served a search warrant at a residence in the Carrick Addition, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office. A body, presumed to be that of a missing man, was recovered at the residence and Tessmer was arrested.

A 37 year old Weed man was arrested Thursday morning and remains in Siskiyou County Jail on a murder charge.

A body, presumed to be that of a missing man, was recovered at the residence and Tessmer was arrested.

Deputies and detectives had been investigating a missing person report which led to the service of the search warrant, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

An autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death, and to confirm the identity of the deceased, was scheduled for Friday, Oct. 11. The victim’s name of is being withheld until his identity is confirmed and the next of kin is notified, the Sheriff’s Office said.
