The Siskiyou Humane Society, Inc. said it is grateful for the generosity of the Siskiyou County community. One day Pat Graham appeared on the doorstep with this beautiful, whimsical quilt she made and donated for SHS to have a raffle fundraiser, according to a fundraiser.
For more than 40 years, Graham has helped support SHS with her generosity, volunteering at the organization’s thrift stores and offering inventive ideas helping enable SHS to continue its mission statement.
Raffle ticket donations for her quilt are $5 for six tickets, or $1 each.
The quilt will be displayed at various businesses in Mount Shasta. Any business that would like to display the quilt should call the shelter at (530) 926-4052 and leave a contact number for the Raffle Committee Chairperson.
The quilt is currently being displayed and tickets sold at Mechanics Bank in Mount Shasta. With the donations and support from the community SHS has been helping homeless animals in Siskiyou County for more than 50 years. SHS does not receive funding from federal, state or local agencies or from national humane organizations.
Tickets for the quilt are available at both SHS thrift stores in Mount Shasta at 110 W. Lake Street and in Yreka at 109 N. Broadway Street until Dec. 14. The drawing will be held Dec. 15 and the winner will be called that day.
