The streets in McCloud were crawling with goblins, witches, devils and zombies on Saturday night as the town hosted its second Halloween Pub Crawl.

Six popular eating establishments stayed opened from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and offered themed drinks and appetizers for the those who wanted to take their ‘passport’ through the haunted town in search of fun and adventure.

Many out-of-towners came up in groups dressed for the event. Participants picked up a passport along with their keepsake McCloud beer glass at any of the pubs. There were prizes for those who participated in the McCloud Chamber-sponsored event.

Lisa Schultz came up with a group of 20 from Redding.

“It is so fun that this cool little tiny town will do this Halloween Pub Crawl,” Schultz said.

McCloud’s Dee Teigland was a first-time crawler. Sitting in Siskiyou Brew Works she enjoyed a beer and pizza with her husband and watched the costumed characters come and go.

“This is awesome. We didn’t even think of dressing up for this,” Tiegland said. “This is a wonderful community.”
