College of the Siskiyous uses a free alerting system called COS Connect (powered by Everbridge) to notify students and staff of emergencies, campus closures, or campus events and announcements.

Users can choose to receive an alert by text message, email, or both. All students (or parents and relatives of students) are encouraged to sign up to receive alerts. In order to receive emergency alerts, or other campus updates from COS, you need to create an account by clicking on the “COS Connect” button located on the COS website,

Within your new COS Connect account, you can specify which alerts, if any, to subscribe to in the Alert Subscription section.
