In 1959, she graduated from Mount Shasta High School as Valedictorian, the last graduating class out of the old high school. Alberta was a 52 member of Beta Sigma Phi, which supported many charitable causes around her hometown community of Mount Shasta.
Alberta is survived by her husband of 58 wonderful years, Mike, daughter Debbie White of Redding, CA; son Rob Mathany of Dunsmuir, CA and daughter Linda Mathany of Mount Shasta, CA. Alberta has three grandchildren, Jared (Amanda) White of San Diego, CA; Jamie (Benji) Edwardson of Oak Run, CA; and Jenae White (Steven Witt) of Redding, CA.
Alberta was so proud, and loved being a great grandmother to her eight great-grandchildren, Lev and Iver White, Channing Metz, Wyatt, Hunter and Ethan Edwardson, and Cherish and Michael Witt.
Alberta also has cousins that are like sisters to her, Betty Ledbetter and Joanne Gallegos.
Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred (1966) and Irene (2006), and cousins Pat Smith (Steve) and Shirley Gilbert (Curtis).
