We have all seen the old WWII poster that has Uncle Sam looking you in the eye, pointing his finger at you, with the caption “Uncle Sam Needs You!” That’s where the State of Jefferson movement is right now.

After eight long years of sending tens of thousands of emails, letters, and phone calls, plus numerous trips to Sacramento, we have exhausted all attempts reach the Legislative and the Executive branches to no avail, so now we are trying the Judicial branch. We sued the State of California. We have a court date in the Ninth Circuit Court on March 6. Any of you who have hired a lawyer know they are expensive. A good lawyer is twice as expensive, and we have some really good ones! Over the last eight years we have spent over $600,000 in attorney fees.

All of you with the “State of Jefferson” hats, t-shirts, license plate frames, and anyone else that values their liberty, it is time to get off the couch and get involved. The State of Jefferson needs you!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in California your liberty is gone. Ask anyone involved in the SOJ movement how your First Amendment right to petition the government for a redress of grievances is going. Try walking down Main Street with a gun, and see how well your Second Amendment right, that shall not be infringed, is holding up. Without the Second Amendment rights, you have no other rights. A government that is taking your rights has guns. And don’t think they won’t use them. Just look at the history of the 20th century. Human nature is the same worldwide, and does not change!

History has shown that liberty lost is seldom regained. If we fail with getting the State of Jefferson, we will be in the same position as our forefathers were in 1776. We need your help.

Go to our website: soj51.org, get educated and watch some of Mark Baird’s YouTube videos. Give what you can. If everyone in the 23 Counties of Jefferson gave two or three bucks, we would have more than enough to get us through the Supreme Court. Show up in San Francisco on March 6. Recently there were over 12,000 people in Richmond, Virginia protesting purposed gun laws that are already in place in California. We need a show of force on March 6. Most people seem to view liberty sort of like air, or sex. Not that important until they aren’t getting any. Liberty is not free! What are you willing to pay for it? It’s time for 51!
