Patty White, affectionately known by many as Gramma Pat, passed away on February 15, 2020 with her son and daughter by her side.

Patty was born in Lakeview, Oregon August 21, 1940. She was the second of three children born to Fred and Gwen White. Her father was a logger and in road construction and she and her siblings Robert White and Deanna White Timmerman moved frequently in their younger years. They moved to the small town of Weott in Humboldt County where logging was a profitable industry. The family built and ran a Motel in Weott for several years until the flood of 1954.

After graduating from high school, Patty moved to San Francisco where she worked and attended Business College. She met and married Wayne Patterson. She and Wayne moved to Seiad and helped her parents operate the Wildwood Lodge and construct the Forest Lodge Motel in Happy Camp which Fred and Gwen owned and operated for years.

Patty and Wayne moved to Palo Cedro in 1968 to raise their two children, Brenda Patterson Johnson and Chris Patterson. After her children were married, Patty moved back to the Redwoods where she enjoyed catching up with her lifelong friends. Her graduating class in high school was notorious for having a reunion every 3-5 years, they were a very close group.

Patty has lived in Etna with her family for several years, surrounded by her many family and friends. She enjoyed helping out her family whenever and wherever she could.
