Kenneth Harold Wiley, Jr., age 83, passed away on February 10, 2020.
Ken was born on March 5, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was the first child of Kenneth Harold Wiley, Sr., and Margaret (Dacy) Wiley of Redding, CA.
Ken was stationed in the Army at Fort Lewis, Washington, where he met the love of his life, Patricia Marie Robinson. They married on October 24, 1954 and celebrated 65 years of marriage.
After serving in the Army, Ken and Patty moved to Redding, CA, where Ken became a butcher for Farmers Market. Eventually Ken and Patty formed Wiley's Market in Dunsmuir, CA, which they owned and operated for 40 years. After retiring and selling Wiley's Market, Ken and Patty moved to Peoria, Arizona. Ken enjoyed driving his golf cart to the local course where he golfed daily. In 2017, Ken and Patty moved back to California to be closer to their children.
Ken loved life and treasured his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and building model airplanes.
Ken is survived by his wife, Patricia Marie Wiley, of Anderson, CA., his sister, Helen Baugh, of Redding, CA., and sister-in-law, Dorothy Wiley, of Redding, CA.
Ken is also survived by his five children: Margaret Levie of Cloverdale, CA (Scott), Pamela Boss of Anderson, CA (Steve), James Wiley of Anchorage, AK (Laurie), Ronald Wiley of Garberville, CA (Tivoli), and Kimberly Padilla of Mount Shasta, CA (Tony). Ken is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.
Ken's celebration of life was Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Churn Creek Golf Course in Redding, CA. He was a wonderful man who was loved by all who knew him.
