Etna High School Principal Regina Hanna thanked Denny Bar for the “awesome donation,” which benefited about 20 employees.

The Denny Bar Company in Etna is lending a hand to help employees working for the Scott Valley School District.

Denny Bar has donated the hand sanitizer they make on-premise to the food service and maintenance crews at the school district who are still at work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Etna High School Principal Regina Hanna thanked Denny Bar for the “awesome donation,” which benefited about 20 employees.

Denny Bar gave the school district personal-sized hand sanitizers and five-gallon jugs to use in spray bottles.

Denny Bar, a restaurant, as well as a distillery located in downtown Etna, has moved from distilling spirits to producing ethanol-based hand sanitizer to produce a highly needed product during this pandemic. Denny Bar has been shipping its hand sanitizer all over the country.

“From whiskey to sanitizer in a time of need,” stated information on the Denny Bar Company website. “We are currently focusing all of our distillery operations on producing high proof ethanol-alcohol for the production of hand sanitizer to help fight COVID-19.”
