After attempts to contact the company with no success, the MCSD Board decided to terminate the current contract and let the company renegotiate a new contract if they are still interested.

After two missed deadlines, the McCloud Community Services District Board directed their attorney during their last June meeting to terminate the contract with the McCloud Artesian Spring Water Company, LLC.

The contract, an amended and restated agreement for the preparation of environmental documents and the possible sale and purchase of McCloud’s artesian spring water has expired.

After attempts to contact the company with no success, the MCSD Board decided to terminate the current contract and let the company renegotiate a new contract if they are still interested.

Company representative John Anderson sent a letter on June 12, apologizing for the lack of communication, acknowledging the notice of default and expressing interest to re-address the MCSD Board this month to restart the EIR and move forward with the project.

The MCSD Board has asked MASWC to come back to McCloud to negotiate a new contract. Since the beginning of the contract, there has been a change in membership on the MASWC managing board. The current members are John Anderson, Sean Cameron, John Harris, Brent Wiegand and Clayton Winey.
